At home, the club usually evolves all in white, which earned him the nickname los blancos ("whites"). The club has been playing since 1947 at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Unlike most European clubs, Real Madrid is the collective property of its socios (its members), who manage it since its creation. Yet, the club is one of the world's most revenue generators.
